Lonkero Lonkero KiX Master Guru Registered: 2001-06-05 Posts: 22346 Loc: OK	well... for a "simple" solution, you only need the reg-hives. for little bit harder solution, you also need startup stuff. maybe even setup.log... well, way or another, there is a repair disk, but as my source tells me: Quote: W2K's ERD contains only the Setup.log, Autoexec.nt, and Config.nt files, but you can still use it to repair your installation if you have problems with the registry, system files, partition boot sector, or startup environment. Note that you still cannot use the ERD to book your computer. http://listproc.ucdavis.edu/archives/win2k-share/log0012/0000.html so, what you actually do with this disk is nothing. as NT based systems do not require you to have the diskette for you to be able to have the ability to repair. so, I'm starting to wonder, what is going on in here? who needs to have automated way to create something useless? _________________________ ! download KiXnet

It uses this format, but limits the number of daily invocations (could be important at 250M per) and removes prior files after a specified retention period.
