I'm taking a Concepts of Programming Languages class for my master's and have to write a short research paper. I'd like to do it on KiX and I need 3 bibliographical references. Anyone know of any intellectual (as opposed to reference) sources citing KiX?

Jim, you mean papers discussing general scripting concepts and ideas, citing Kixtart specifically as opposed to just reference and documentation material ?

Yeah. I suppose there's a ton of stuff out there regarding concepts of scripting languages and interpreted vs. compiled, blah, blah... But I'd really like something that references KiX directly.

(The others certainly can be used as indirect references to a concept which would be acceptable, but I shouldn't have any problems finding that stuff.)

It's more reference than I'm looking for.

Does anyone know why KiX doesn't use STDOUT?

My working theory was that because Kixtart calls the Console API's directly (to do things ike position the cursor with AT() and colorize with COLOR()), that maybe it wrote TEXT directly to the console - not using STDOUT...

But then Richard H. came up with this little gem ...

Code:

Break On

$= SetAscii("ON")

?"Hello, World"

Exit 1

C:\> kix32 t.kix >del.me
