Hi All

Our Clustered File & Print servers keep on crashing, without any messages in the EventLog, we think it is due to a process called "MailTool.exe" which keeps on generating every 2 seconds.

After about an hour, we have over 100 "MailTool.exe" processes running.

I have no problems on killing the process, but how can i list current processes by name ????.

Once I have this I can then write a program that checks for this process, and kills it straight away.

Thanks

Wouldn't it be better to work on th ecause instead of the symptom? Is this a DELL server? http://support.ap.dell.com/docs/stor-sys/dom/9867c/RUNNING.HTM

The only problem with a external app, is that I will have to capture the output and serach that.

I am doing this quick just for the weekend, in case our servers die.

Best bet would be to kill "MailTool.exe" -F every 2 minutes, if it is there then it will be killed, and if not, well it don't matter.

Richard: You've been here logn enough to know about the UDF Forum. A quick glance into it would reveal e.g. EnumProcess() - enum specific process PIDs and/or terminate them

Thanks Jens, I know I have been here long enough, but I miss Lonks UDF Web Site, I can never find anything searching through the Korg UDF Board.

Thanks Everyone

Lonkero is working on trying to fix the update to support this new threaded board. Hopefully soon we will again start updating or mirror sites
