When deploying IE the first login after the reboot must be an administartive-level login unless you use IEAK (Internet Explorer Administration Kit) and specifically set the ionstall to install as user. Please read the IEAK documentyation for details. You might also want ot think about rolling out the latest version of IE as IE5.5SP2 is already on Extended Support.
