Does anyone know a good way to detect if a floppy disk is in the a: drive or not? Obviously, exist('a:\') will work, but only after an annoying popup message about there not being a floppy in the drive (when no floppy is loaded).
In the past, I seem to remember having the same symptoms you describe, but I just ran two different tests on 2K and XP and neither popped up the box...

My test code was identical. I was testing this on W2K Pro. It will be run on most flavors of NT, W2K, and W2K3, and it should be consistent across platforms. Weird.
