Hi Is there a way to insure that network trafic goes through "my accespoints" I want to prevent pupils conecting an accespoint to our network. We have Win 2000 server and 2003 server
I am sure you would do better to google for "rogue access points". There are lots of commercial packages out there that work with your switchgear. Doubt anyone has a KiX solution.

Also, doubt anything free, and also depends on the technical expertise of the students. Those that are adept at computing will be nearly impossible to prevent gaining rougue access if they have access also to approved equipment.

Nope, correct forum. However, this is really a network design/architecture/equipment question and other newsgroups/BBSes might be able to provide much more detailed information on how to prevent rogue APs in a network.

Also, if you say something like "I've googled for info on rogue access points and found lots of info but am still interested in opinions..." that makes for a good flame shield too.
