[Confused]

What is this? Is this your SMTP server? Is this your Exchange Server? Is this recipient's?

Can you provide more info?

Thanks,

Kent

Might be the result of this new virus that point domain nams to incorrect IP addresses.

I should know but I don't whether or not it's coming from the smtp server. I'm rather new to supporting exchange. The other guys on my team will be back shortly. I just didn't know if it was a virus and someone else had seen it too.

Thanks for the info...

it can be spam too.
some spammer uses your server.
don't mind it, there is nothing you can do about it anyway, if you are using exchange.

We don't have it set up on the email servers to reject spam by doing a reverse dns lookup so it should send it through if it was spam..

That is why you should use something like IronMail or equivalent..

reverse dns nowadays does not help anyways.
if one owns soft that depends on it, he should kick it's butt.
reverse dns does not worky.
verisign does move hits to unknown sites to their own.
as example, try something like www.mseoitgwrgfnergfvidsv.com

or anything else made up.

that does not give non-existent domain comment but the proxy's "site not answering" which is same I get with korg when it's down.
hmm, that is better though.

Looks like they decided to stop doing the redirect.

You know, for some reason, this whole verisign thingy really bugs me. The company is abusing there "license" no doubt about it. They are responsible for the infrastructure of the internet, and shouldn't be taking of advantage of there position to add content at that lower level. Especially when the content they are adding is paid advertising.

Will be fun to follow this story. As of today, afaik, they should have shut this "service" down but its still running.
