Hey Kent...Why no Messenger in your corp? Our IS staff just started using it a couple of weeks ago...It really is quite convenient.

Use a product called SecWay to create keys so all message are encryted.

I agree with Jack about advertizing plus korg homepage looks 90īs (more at the beggining of that decade than finishing).

When you enter a page that looks actual or futurist it is written between lines that there is future expected from this product you are meeting and that is not gonna leave you walking in the middle of the road. That is a paradox about KiXstart cause its developing is keep going.
I know sound kinda tuff but this is what I see (from my point of view) is happening. [Roll Eyes]

From the experience of having a chat with ppl of the outside, normal ppl dont have a clue and never hurt of it, programmers might have hurt of it but never used it and admins have hurt and once tested.

Other thing. UDF`s are really something and is not on the front page shown as practical solution. I firts found what they where after quite a time.
When I fisrt opened this page (http://kixtart.org/cgi-bin/Ultimatebb.cgi) I didint know what a variable was. [Big Grin]

I agree with Jose...The website is really pretty plain. Who updates it anyways? I usually find new version of kixtart on other sites before it is posted on korg..? No wonder other sites get bookmarked more. The bulletin board is the only thing that stays up to date.

citrix, now you are not totally speaking the throught.
just check on next kixtart update and you see that it most likely is the site that gets it uploaded the fastest.

Maybe currently it is updated the fastest...But I have had several occurences in the past where I could find newer version at..

http://home.wanadoo.nl/scripting/index-kix-downloads.htm

rather than at..

http://www.kixtart.org

Maybe someone was just on vacation at the time.

well, ja.
and wandandoo is not updated that quick either.
anyway, nowadays there is one dude assigned to update it and he did quite ok job last time.
and before that he also did quite speedy job on his own site.
so, think that part is handled now.

what comes to the site looks.
doh, if someone thinks he can do better job, he should do it.
the site is kept there by volunteers.
if no volunteer does anything about it, it will not change.

What you are asking is a "Super" volunteer who can deal with it from bottom to top, why
I am thinking is some combined work of "human volunteers" ... what u say?

Just curious...

Is the KiXtart.org scripting and the KiXtart.com web hosting company related or did they just rip off the name?

I think for opening page at KORG should not be an image map, but rather links.. Cabbage Dude, you are pretty good at Flash - how about that? Or, is that "too fancy?"

I know most us are die hard command line people.. [Big Grin] Maybe a Flash to navigate the KORG site as one would do this stuff in KiX?

I think it would be great, its just a question where to start Fe banner, logo and then if aproved pass on next stuff. I would be more than pleased if so.

Perhaps a dynamic MySQL and PHP driven page so one could write a KiXforms GUI to add news and updates to the page via a mysql insert. [Big Grin]
