Update: Not sure if this helps anybody, but currently the situation is that out of 250 machines, 5 have experienced this problem. For some reason, on the five machines that experienced this problem, I found that the "Archive" bit on the TEMP folder was set, and that on all the good machines (the sample I took) the Archive bit was not set.
Its the only lead I have at this time, does this twig anyone's imagination ?
btw, I haven't actually had the chance to sit down at one of these machines yet, and flip the arhive bit off to see if the problem goes away, I will be getting the chance shortly though.
