Has anyone deployed Symantec Antivirus Corp Edition v8.1?

We have semi deployed it to about a 1/4 of our systems.

We are starting to see a new problem that I'm curious if anyone else is noticing. Systems appear to be slow at initially opening objects.

ie. as an example, you go to right click on a file or object from within file explorer and the system may hang for maybe 10 seconds before the right click menu appears.

It is so intermittent that it is really hard to pin down what is causing it. There have been so many other Microsoft patches lately that it could be that, or maybe the new Symanctec Antivirus 8.1

Has anyone else been experiencing this "slow to respond" issue as well (with or without Symantec AV)

I remarked that my computer was very slow in some actions and I didn't know why.
with your question, i remember that I installed NAV 8.1 last week.

I have the same effect when I work with Word. Some time, characters appear after more than 15 seconds !!!

We have it on almost 500 workstations and a few servers. We haven't experienced the slowiness (yet) but we did have a few other fun experiences...

Take a look here Q815411 maby MS wil help.
It worked for me we only received the dutch version so you have to contact MS

I have deployed Symantec for approx 450 users. We've had some problems with rtvscan.exe hogging all the CPU.. The only fix we've found is to remove and reinstall. I'd start looking at that process first.
