Incognito Incognito Getting the hang of it Registered: 2001-07-09 Posts: 66	I'm sure there is a way but I need some guidance.. I'm sure there is a way, but I need some guidance.. I am currently creating a text file for each station that logs into my network containing workstation & user specific info (IP address, name, password age, etc.) Is there a way to combine all of these log files into a database table? I would need to have a record for each PC indexed on user name. I also envision the process to overwrite the record the next time that user ran the login script. Has anyone else done anything like this?

Howard Bullock Howard Bullock KiX Supporter Registered: 2000-09-15 Posts: 5809 Loc: Harrisburg, PA USA	Unless you can guarantee that all of your clients have the proper ADO or ODBC capability I would write the data to a text file based on the computer name and then have a secondary process to parse the text files and write the data to a database of your choosing.
