Just thought of another (simpler) solution that may work for you.

  • Allow two connections per share.
  • Map the H: drive as normal, logoff is mapping fails.
  • Connect to the share via UNC, logoff if fails.
If the user attempts to connect twice this process should create an absolute minumum of 3 share connections so will fail.
